Daniel Huybrechts, Professor of Mathematics at the University of Bonn, received his Ph.D. in 1992 from Humboldt-University Berlin. He is well-known for his work in algebraic geometry (in particular on the moduli of sheaves, moduli of K3 surfaces, and the study of holomorphic symplectic manifolds). Huybrechts was an invited speaker at the ICM (2010) and is currently a leader of the major ERC synergy grant HyperK in algebraic geometry. He stayed at the ITS for three months starting in March 2022 and will return in February 2023 for another two months.
