The ETH-ITS is happy to have Viviane Baladi back as Senior Fellow as of 01 April 2023. Please read below introduction for further information on Viviane's career.
Viviane Baladi, Director of research CNRS (at Jussieu), received her Ph.D. in 1989 from the University of Geneva. Baladi is a world leader in analysis and dynamical systems with seminal results in the theory of mathematical billiards. She has been an invited speaker at the ICM (2014) and has received the CNRS silver medal (2019). Besides contributing to the analysis group at ETHZ, Baladi will be strongly connected to the dynamics group at the University of Zurich. Baladi stayed at the ITS from April to June 2022 and is expected to come again in Spring 2023.
