Popular scientific coverage of Michael Borinsky's recent research

We are delighted to share an article published in Quanta Magazine on a recent publication by Michael Borinsky (ITS Advanced Fellow) and Karen Vogtmann on the amount of cohomology in the moduli space of graphs.

by Livia Kürsteiner
“Mathematicians have struggled to understand the moduli space of graphs. A new paper uses tools from physics to peek inside. Vogtmann and Borinsky started with questions that Vogtmann, a mathematician at the University of Warwick, had been asking herself for decades. The pair then reimagined the issue in the language of physics, using techniques from quantum field theory to come up with their result.”
