A warm welcome to a familiar face
We are very happy to announce the return of Viviane Baladi as Senior Fellow to the institute. She will be visiting us from January to April 2024.
Viviane Baladi, Director of research CNRS (at Jussieu), received her Ph.D. in 1989 from the University of Geneva. Baladi is a world leader in analysis and dynamical systems with seminal results in the theory of mathematical billiards. She has been an invited speaker at the ICM (2014) and has received the CNRS silver medal (2019). Besides contributing to the analysis group at ETHZ, Baladi will be strongly connected to the dynamics group at the University of Zurich. Baladi stayed at the ITS in spring 2022 and 2023, and will join us again for a few months beginning of 2024.
